If you are reading this you are most likely looking for a company to build your future deck. Congratulations, you’ve found your future deck contractor! Nathan, Shawn and the rest of the Deck Company crew are not only amazing deck builders, but they are also deck artists…and just incredibly nice guys! I gave them a few design sketches of what we hoped would be something similar to the end result, and were amazed that they were able to build our dream deck exactly as we had envisioned on paper! They showed up on time (actually early every single day), kept the work area clean each night when they left and we couldn’t have been happier with the craftsmanship (see the benches they built in the photos…amazing!). Deck Company just finished our porch rebuild (June 2021) and I wanted to provide my review. This was in no way solicited, and I didn't know the company prior to this project. Just sharing my feedback to help others!
Background: We have a wrap around porch, and unfortunately it was built with wood more suited to indoors. After years of trying to maintain, we decided to redo with Trex.
We called around and had 3 companies quote in Spring, and felt the most comfortable with Deck Company. We were a little nervous since they weren't a "big" company, but the owner seemed to really take an interest. They said they likely couldn't start until mid-July, and with an upcoming birthday party we were hopeful it would be sooner. The owner said he would try his best.
They did better than that, coming in almost a month earlier than anticipated! The owner was in constant communication asking if certain dates would work, and we were happy to get it started early. They did demo on a Saturday, and started the following week. Every day of the project the team was here promptly at 6:50 am! It was a big project and they worked hard, and when it took a bit longer just for the final touches, the owner was very apologetic (our porch was still useable so it wasn't a huge deal) and came out himself to personally finish it up, and even came back a few hours later when we needed to add a longer board to block critters from crawling under.
The final result looks nice. I was impressed with the work effort and communication, and care taken. I highly recommend.
